Guest Speaker

Though she spent most of her childhood in Oregon, Seattle Bride editor and Seattle magazine fashion+ lifestyle editor Kate Calamusa has long clung to the argument that she’s a Seattle native (she was born on Pill Hill, after all) and moved back to Seattle in 2003. A graduate of Seattle Pacific University, Kate has spent the past five years immersing herself in the burgeoning local fashion scene, producing Seattle magazine’s Seamless in Seattle competition for emerging fashion designers while also styling fashion editorials and runway sets, and drinking a lot of coffee with local designers. Kate, who planned and executed her own stunning wedding that was featured in Seattle Bride, also brings her creativity and style expertise to the bridal realm as editor of Seattle Bride. When not flipping through wedding photos online, Kate can be found obsessing over her latest Etsy find.
