Marcella’s La Boutique reinvents classic elegance

Every bride wants to feel like a princess on her wedding day.

Marcella Hopkins of Marcella’s La Boutique makes sure that happens with a wave of her magical wand.

Everything about Marcella’s La Boutique is magical, from the beautiful wedding dresses displayed in the shop window to the friendly, warm service from Marcella and her staff.

It’s Marcella’s high standard for quality that make the boutique the premier bridal salon in the Northwest, featuring couture gowns from the world’s top designers.

The difference between couture gowns from other wedding dresses is the quality, style and fit. Couture designers don’t follow fads; they reinvent classic elegance.

Only eight designers meet Marcella’s high quality standards. These eight - Reem Acra, Romona Keveza, Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier, Amsale, Carolina Herrera, Jenny Lee and Lazaro – have secured their place at Marcella’s because of their quality gowns made from exquisite fabric with extraordinary details.

No one knows more about gowns than Marcella. As a young girl, Marcella’s aunt founded the only clothing factory in her native country of Nicaragua. It was then that Marcella learned everything she could about fabrics, designs and alterations.

At age seven, Marcella made her own first communion dress, a white silk organza with deep ruffles around the neck and hem, puff sleeves, and a large bow with long tails. Feeling radiant and beautiful in her dress, Marcella found her life calling in bridal gowns.

Marcella takes a personal interest and care with each and every bride. She will go out of her way to personally measure many brides and closely inspect every gown after the final fitting.

With years of experience in the bridal industry, Marcella knows every step of the process to find the right wedding dress. She meets with brides and their families and friends to get a sense of what style is perfect.

Brides may or may not come in with ideas on what gowns they want. Instead of a cookie-cutter approach to selecting dresses, Marcella’s La Boutique takes the time to figure out the best style based on wedding location, personality, shape, and finally the groom’s taste. The expert and personal advice from Marcella’s La Boutique lead brides towards gowns that are truly right for them.

Marcella travels to New York City twice a year to attend fashion shows and meet with designers who value her input as they develop the next year’s collections. Marcella’s La Boutique knows that couture wedding dresses are made with very special attention to detail and quality. Everything from the stitches and seams must be perfectly blended together, like a masterful piece of fine art.

Not every boutique understands how to make sure everything is perfectly fit. For example, the fabric must line up when bringing in the waist just as Vera Wang designed it. When gowns are shortened, the hem needs to stay true to a designer’s style, with not all cuts straight as the average tailor may assume.

That’s why Marcella requires that brides use the boutique’s in-house alterations expert. Marcella’s La Boutique is one of the only bridal boutiques in the country with a full-time on-site tailor who specializes in couture gowns. Marcella’s seamstress has been working with her for more than ten years.

When you’re ready to begin the fun of finding the couture wedding gown of your dreams, make an appointment at Marcella’s La Boutique to view its collection.

Or attend one of Marcella’s La Boutique’s monthly trunk show, where designers or their representatives bring all the gowns in their collections and personally help you select the right one. This gives designers a chance talk to clients and also gives brides a way to learn more about different designers and their lines.

If you’re looking for the ultimate bridal experience, come to Marcella’s La Boutique for an experience you’ll never forget.
